Quite long time this blog not being updated...huhu..
For this new entri and the first one for the year 2012 I would like to share the etiquette with the Quran.
Before this, I post about how easy we are to get connected with the Quran in this modern world with various technology, functions and applications of the iQuran or e-Quran. But did we ever think about our manner towards those new forms of the Quran. Does it same as the hard-copied Quran or what?
I think about it then I ask my ustaz; Abdul Salam about it and below is his answer regarding this matter.
With regards to your question, it's always better, if we can ensure that we have wudhu when reading Qur'an.
Touching a an electronic Qur'an is just like touching printed copy Qur'an.
The fact that ulama have different views pertaining touching Qur'an, it also reflects on electronic Qur'an as well, such as those built in iOS, Android, or Windows devices.
So if you agree with those who say we must not touch Qur'an until we have wudhu, then you should not start up your electronic Qur'an until you have wudhu. In other words, if you start up the application, don't use your direct finger to touch the screen. Use stylus or likes.
If you are comfortable with the argument (idea) of those who say it's OK to touch Qur'an without wudhu, then you are in easy way to go...
This being said, a lady who is in her period, is not supposed to touch the Qur'an, be it printed copy or electronic. Unless she's using a glove or something else to point at the wordings, without physical touching.
Allah knows best. Wassalam.
Hope this entry give us new knowledge and benefit to us.
